Severe storms pose different kinds of threats to your home. From your roofing to your windows, storm damage can result in expensive roof repairs or window replacement.
That is why it’s important to choose building products that can withstand harsh weather. For windows specifically, you should consider storm windows. In this article, D & M Roofing lists four storm window options that ProVia® offers.
Town & Country Double-Hung Windows
These windows are available in double-track and triple-track variants. The triple-track windows have inside operating half screens, while the double-track option features a half screen housed under the exterior sash.
With a mid-window stabilizer bar, the Town & Country double-hung windows have additional structural strength. They can also keep the cold and heat out, thanks to their full perimeter weatherstripping. Cleaning these windows is pretty easy as well, especially with the removable sashes and half screen.
Concord Double-Hung Windows
The Concord double-hung windows also have similar qualities to the Town & Country windows. The main difference between these two window products lies in their styles. Town & Country windows have mitered frame corners, which provide superior strength and beauty. The Concord windows, on the other hand, feature butt-frame corners, which offer a clean, contemporary look and exceptional strength.
Valley Forge Slider Windows
The Valley Forge slider windows have hollow construction, which enables additional strength and drainage control. Like in roofing systems, proper drainage is important to keep the window protected against moisture. With regards to design, these slider windows have mitered frame corners similar to those featured in the Town & Country windows. They are available in two or three-lite configurations.
Clinton Picture Windows
The Clinton picture windows come with full-perimeter weatherstripping and sash clips for removable sash. They also have mitered frame corners, and they can be configured to have up to four lites.
